Tomorrow Spurs host Burnley at White Hart Lane. Off the back of a good week for the Lilywhites, winning late on away at Swansea and the sweeping aside Newcastle to reach the League Cup Semi-Finals, we need to continue that momentum with another three points here against Burnley.

Where will the match be won?

Burnley have gone on a good run as of late only losing one of their last seven Premier League games and a lot of it has been down to keeping clean sheets, they’ve kept four in their last seven so they rely on strong defence to help them in matches. So Spurs need to come out of the blocks quickly get an early goal on the board and get the visitors on the back foot which may force Burnley to retreat.

Spurs have come from behind to take their last four Premier League wins, away at Villa, Hull and Swansea and at home vs Everton, we’ve won more points from losing positions than any other side twelve points so far, and we’ve scored more goals after the 89th minute than any other side. This clearly shows that the extra fitness that the players have been trained thanks to Mauricio Pochettino’s extra training sessions, it means players are fresher at the end of games, which gives them the life left in a close game to win it late on.

Key Players:

Harry Kane is on a roll, there’s no stopping our academy graduate right now, with thirteen goals to his name this season, the 21-Year-Old is leading the line at N17 proudly. It’s not only his goalscoring that is impressing, his workrate, passes and movement are top quality right now which has elevated him to our number one striker.

Christian Eriksen, the Danish playmaker has hit a sweet spot of form, after initially struggling, four goals in his last six games and two assists have seen him hitting new heights. His performance vs Newcastle on Wednesday saw him play in the number ten position and he ran the show, dominated the tempo and pace of how we played whereas he’s often been left isolated on the left wing where he can’t influence games in the same way. Provided he plays behind the striker tomorrow, he will give Burnley the run-around with his skill.

Tom Heaton, while he doesn’t possess the grand stature of Lloris or other top PL Goalkeepers, Heaton has proved instrumental in Burnley’s upturn in form. His clean sheets and impressive saves, including his penalty save vs Southampton last week, has helped give Burnley a chance at surviving relegation this season. He has the ability to pull long stopping saves so Spurs will have to be clinical in their finishing if they’re to get the ball past Heaton on Saturday.
