Report: Tottenham in talks to complete late double signing

Tottenham appear to be closing in on deals for two new players as we move into the final week of the transfer window.

Spurs are in talks with Wolves over a potential deal for Adama Traoré and look set to complete a deal for highly-rated teenage midfielder Pape Sarr from Metz according to The Guardian

It was reported last week in The Athletic that Spurs were on the verge of striking a deal for highly-rated youngster Pepe Matar Sarr. A report today in The Guardian indicates the deal will be worth around £14million and then see the player return to Metz on loan for this season.

A deal that would have a more imminent impact on Spurs this season is that of Adama Traore. It seems Nuno Espirto Santo views his former forward as an ideal option to add fuel to the club’s attack.

According to The Times, Tottenham had proposed an initial loan deal, worth £5million for the year, with the option to make it permanent next summer.

Wolves are said to be seeking a permanent deal for the player if they did sell him. There is no potential fee detailed in the report, but transfermarkt value the player at £27million – Wolves would likely want in excess of that to consider a sale.

Despite winning their opening two games, it’s great to see the club are still looking to strengthen. To achieve the goals of a top-four finish, the club will need to be efficient in the final week of the market to enable them to be fully prepared for the tough season.
