Tottenham must sign this Norwich City star this summer

Spurs look like they may have a limited transfer budget this summer, but one thing is for sure, they need to make changes to their playing squad if they are to stay in touch with the leading Premier League clubs.

Their form since the Premier League start will be of great worry. If Jose Mourinho remains at the club this summer he will surely demand financial backing to bring in players to suit his style of play. Considering the clubs budget, or lack thereof, they may have to look to the relegated clubs in order to find some bargains.

Serge Aurier has been pretty atrocious recently and few will argue with the fact that Spurs need to sign a new right back this summer. Nordi Mukiele of RB Leipzig has been mentioned, but he is unlikely to want to jump ship from high flying Leipzig to join Spurs right now. With the likes of PSG also reportedly interested, convincing the Nordi seems impossible. Norwich defender Max Aarons, however will be keen to stay in the Premier League with Norwich surely set for the Championship. Tottenham could be one of a few clubs to offer him both top level football (perhaps European) and also a starting place in the team.

The 20 year old has been impressive for a faltering Norwich side this season and clearly has the potential to become a top level right back. Fans may need to be patient with him initially, but its clear his ceiling is higher than that of the likes of Aurier.

Other media outlets continue to link Spurs with a move for Aarons, but according to the reliable Atheltic, Mourinho has reservations about signing Aarons due to his height, or lack thereof.
