5 realistic replacements for Eriksen if he joins Manchester United

It looks like Christian Eriksen’s time at Tottenham could be coming to a close. Reports now suggest that it is not only Real Madrid interested in signing the Danish international, but also Manchester United.

Daniel Levy will be very reluctant to sell to a Premier League rival but with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer looking to renovate his team in the summer, if the Manchester club pay the huge £95million asking price, it would leave Levy with little choice but to accept. So armed with plenty of cash to invest in a replacement, who could replace Erisken?

Some raised eyebrows when Leicester splashed out around £20million to sign Maddison less than a year ago. His fine form this season though has shown how he is worth every penny. Scoring 7 and assisting 6 for an at times, lacklustre Leicester City team, Maddison is the creative hub in Leicester’s midfield. His form means the club could realistically demand more than double what they paid for him last year in order to sell up. He’s a good option as an Eriksen replacement as he’s young (22) and is already Premier League proven.
