Player Ratings: Spurs 5-0 Gillingham – Winks & Eriksen Excel

Erik Lamela- 7

Had a good game, tried too many of the tricks and flicks for me, but looked to play some good balls in behind. Grabbed himself a goal in the second half, a solid display from the Argentine.

Christian Eriksen- 8

Opened the scoring for us just beyond the half-hour mark with a brilliant 25-yard strike and scored the second with a cool finish. An excellent game from the Dane and hopefully he can carry this form through to the league and the Champions League.

Josh Onomah- 7

Didn’t looked out of place at all in that Spurs front four, and he more than deserved his second half goal, which was well-taken.

Vincent Janssen- 7

Will be leading the line for Spurs in the next couple of months, and after a couple of first half misses, he scored his first goal for Spurs from the spot. Hopefully this will give him confidence going into Saturday.

Subs:

Georges-Kevin Nkoudou- 6

The Frenchman was handed his debut last night, but we didn’t see an awful lot of him since he came on, but showed a quick turn of pace to nearly latch onto a through ball. Surely it won’t be too long before his first start.

Marcus Edwards- 7

A strong confident performance from ‘Spurs’ Messi’, and was unlucky not to add a sixth late on. There will be more to come from him, there is no doubt about that.

Anton Walkes- 6

Was good to see another youngster make his debut, but we didn’t see much of Walkes in the final ten minutes.
