Tottenham To Battle With Two Other Clubs For Young Right-Back

The Daily Mail report that Tottenham will face competition from at least two other Premier League clubs in their pursuit to sign young Burnley right-back Kieran Trippier.

Aston Villa and Liverpool are also reportedly interested in the young star, and both are sizing up a bid for the right-back, who has a release clause in his contract believed to be £3.5m.

Trippier has had a successful debut season in the Premier League and has been linked with a move away from the club following Burnley’s relegation to the Championship.

Tim Sherwood’s transfer strategy this summer appears to be bringing in young English talent, and Trippier falls under this category, and could be standing in Mauricio Pochettino’s way of signing the 24-year-old.

Pochettino is a huge admirer of the right-back, and will make a summer bid and trigger his release clause, but will he beat Liverpool and Aston Villa to his signature?
