Tottenham’s hopes of signing Belgian midfielder Kevin Mirallas have been hugely dented after the club have stated that Mirallas is not for sale.

Journalist Kevin Palmer reports that he has been told by Everton that the Belgian will not be moving anywhere on this transfer deadline day.

Spurs have been chasing the midfielder for some time now in this window, and will now have to accept that they will not be signing Mirallas. Tottenham have already had a £3m bid rejected, and were set to make a new and improved bid earlier today.

Reports suggested that Spurs may have been stalling a move for Aaron Lennon to other clubs in order to see if they could include the England international in any potential deal for the Belgian midfielder.

And now that Spurs hopes of signing the Belgian have been hugely dented, this could finally open the door for Aaron Lennon to move elsewhere, with Stoke reportedly leading the chase for the winger.
