We’re on our waaaay!
Spurs are now one game away from a League Cup final as we turned on the style and eased impressively past Newcastle United at White Hart Lane.
The mood was a buoyant one on Twitter as is slowly hit home that our seat in the last 4 was booked after goals from Nabil Bentaleb, Nacer Chadli, Harry Kane and Roberto Soldado set up our biggest chance for a trophy in years.
Bentaleb was dominating the headlines having run the show and netted his first senior Spurs goal, while Christian Eriksen and Harry Kane were predictably on fire.
After full-tie came the news that we had avoided Premier League big-boys Chelsea and Liverpool in the draw and Championship side Sheffield United were all that stood in the way of our long awaited trip to the home of English football.
One song dominated the terraces and indeed the whole of social media…
Tottenham fans: “Spurs are on their way to Wembley, Tottenham’s gonna do it again!”

If you could just imagine if we win the final at Wembley. The scenes will be high, surely to be the best day for us Spurs fans.

Another fantastic Bentaleb performance – well done on the goal @nabilbentaleb42.

Eriksen has been substantially more involved having played the full game through as #10 in his most natural position. He’s fantastic there.

Sheffield United won’t be a walkover but just glad to avoid Chelsea. Don’t get a bigger chance of Wembley than this! #COYS
