3 More Transfers Spurs Look Set To Complete After Aurier

With Tottenham set to confirm the signing of Serge Aurier, there looks to be more business to be done by Pochettino’s men in the final week of the window. In this article we take a look at three more transfers that could happen.

1 – Michel Vorm to Crystal Palace

So according to Sky Sports, Crystal Palace are trying to lure Vorm to the club, with the offer of first team football on the table. Vorm is just a back up to Lloris at Tottenham so if Palace were to table a reasonable bid it would be hard for the club to stand in his way.

3 More New Signings Set To Follow Sanchez To Tottenham Imminently

Tottenham have finally spent some money this summer after confirming the record signing of Davinson Sanchez from Ajax. It won’t end there it seems, with the club now reportedly closing in on a further three signings. In this article we take a look at the three names in question…

1 – Serge Aurier

It’s close! L’Equipe are reporting that Tottenham are closing in on a €25million agreement with PSG for Serge Aurier. The Ivorian full back has looked set to leave the French club all summer, but with the likes of Manchester United reportedly interested in his signature, it looked unlikely, until now, that he would be heading to Spurs. But at €25million, the 24-year-old represents good value for Tottenham, especially if he can keep his head right.

Aurier has been linked with Spurs all summer and has always been earmarked as a replacement for Walker if he did leave – so why has it taken so long for Tottenham to seal this one off? Aurier is a perfect fit to play as a wing back and with the type of signings Pochettino is making this summer, I can see him opting with a three at the back formation with wing backs more often than not this season.

Spurs Aim To Complete Deals For These 3 Defenders Before The Transfer Deadline

Tottenham’s ridiculously quiet transfer window is starting to heat up. There is a lot of things happening on a defensive front at the moment, and whilst the fans may be dreaming of an attacking signing, these defensive changes may provide the platform for the team to win the title this season.

1 – Davinson Sanchez

The 21-year-old defender is very highly rated in Europe and has had several top clubs chasing him for the past couple of years. If Tottenham manage to tie up this signing it would be seen as a coup and with the current climate in this market, the price could well represent good value in the future. Many feel that we have nabbed Ajax’s best player from them in this £42m deal and he is just the type of player that fits the Pochettino criteria. He is hard-working, young and has bags of potential. We could see Sanchez really grow and develop as a player over the next couple of seasons into one of the best centre-backs in world football.

Tottenham have recently announced that a fee has been agreed with Ajax and the deal will now be completed subject to a medical and a work permit. This one is likely to be officially announced on Monday next week, as weekend announcements are rare.

Match Preview: Tottenham vs. Chelsea

Mauricio Pochettino’s Tottenham welcome Antonio Conte’s Chelsea to Wembley for the first home game of the new season in a match of significant importance so early in the campaign.

Pundits and fans alike have cast many doubts over Tottenham’s chances of Premier League success this season and many have stated the coming season will be a struggle due to playing at Wembley. This shouldn’t be an excuse for any shortcomings this season, but Spurs’ record at the National Stadium speaks for itself. Spurs won just once in five visits to Wembley last season including an embarrassing aggregate loss to Gent in the Europa League, so you can see why fans are not brimming with confidence.

So, the visit of the Premier League champions brings with it the perfect opportunity to silence early season critics and doubters. Revenge will be on the minds of the Spurs players following last season’s 4-2 FA Cup semi-final defeat where the introduction of Diego Costa and Eden Hazard won the game for the Blues.

Two players Spurs will not have to face on Sunday are Diego Costa and Nemanja Matic, who have caused the Lilywhites problems in the past. Costa’s future seems uncertain at this moment in time, but it appears he will not be playing anymore football at Stamford Bridge. The decision to sell Matic has puzzled many and is clearly a decision that does not sit well with Antonio Conte.

The loss of two key players has not been easy for Chelsea as they fell to a shock 3-2 defeat to Burnley, who one just once away from Turf Moor last season. Alvaro Morata getting on the scoresheet is one of the few positives Chelsea fans can take from the opening day loss, but Morata missing a sitter, denying another goal and ill-discipline will be on the minds of many going into this Sunday’s trip to Wembley.

By contrast, Spurs got their campaign off to a winning start to Newcastle, running out 2-0 winners over Newcastle, Dele Alli and Ben Davies getting on the scoresheet. Until the sending off of Jonjo Shelvey just four minutes into the second half, Spurs failed to create many chances and didn’t really look like taking all three points. This is something that surely will be on Mauricio Pochettino’s mind ahead of Sunday.

Both seeing red on Saturday, Chelsea will be missing key creator Cesc Fabregas and captain Gary Cahill, which could prove big misses for the Blues. Spurs on the other hand will be without Danny Rose and Erik Lamela whilst Georges-Kevin N’Koudou and Kieran Trippier are also unlikely to make the matchday squad which could mean another chance to impress for young Kyle Walker-Peters.

What do you see as the outcome for this one? Take a look at the best bookies & offerings on this one. I think Tottenham are good value for the win. Moreover, I think we are going to be in for an entertaining match on Sunday. Antonio Conte will be demanding a big response from his players after Saturday’s defeat while Mauricio Pochettino’s side will be keen to banish those Wembley woes. I would not be surprised if this one ended in a draw.

Tottenham In Advanced Talks To Complete 3 New Signings

Tottenham have had a very quiet transfer window but it looks like that is all about to change with the latest reports suggest that Pochettino’s men are closing in on not one, not two, but three new additions!

It might be hard to believe after sitting through the whole summer and seeing no progress, but the stories do come from reputable sources. In this article we take a look at who it is being linked and how they would fit in.

1 – Davinson Sanchez

The young Ajax defender is highly rated across Europe and Pochettino must be a fan as it seems he may be willing to break the clubs transfer record to bring him in. According to The Guardian, Spurs have opened talks at around £25million, though Ajax are hoping to raise closer to £35million.

The 21-year-old defender is very highly rated in Europe and has had several top clubs chasing him for the past couple of years. If Tottenham manage to tie up this signing it would be seen as a coup and with the current climate in this market, the price could well represent good value in the future.

Time To Go: 3 Players Tottenham Need To Sell This Month

It’s been a pretty slow summer in terms of transfers for Tottenham and with injuries already creeping up, some fans are very worried by the lack of transfer activity so far.

Whilst new signings are certainly needed, there are still some players that need to go at Tottenham, in this article we take a look at 3 of them and why…

1 – Moussa Sissoko

What a spectacular failure this man has been. The clubs record signing (hopefully not for long) has really disappointed since his £30million move to the club. His inconsistency is his biggest problem as it is clear that he has a lot of ability when at his best and when he is motivated. There have always been questions marks over how well he can fit into the system at Tottenham. The problem for Spurs will be trying to recoup close to the £30million they paid, which will certainly be hard. Offers appear few and far between, but a loan move to Trabzonspor has been mooted. Tottenham will prefer to sell permanently as there is unlikely to be a future for Sissoko at the club, but they may have to take what they can get as the transfer window closure edges closure.

Finally A Signing? 3 Spurs Transfer Targets Hint At Summer Switch

Tottenham’s transfer window has been incredibly quiet so far, and whilst the team are focussing on maintaining their current squad (Walker aside), there are several quality signings that could still be completed, in fact, this week, three transfer targets have come out and suggested they want to move on this summer.

1 – Max Meyer

Meyer is a tricky midfielder and aged 21, has the potential to do very well in his career. The London Evening Standard have cited some quotes which show that Meyer will not push for a move away, but he is open to one:

“Let’s see what happens. I declined the [contract] offer because I was not satisfied with my personal situation,” Meyer told Bild.

“I just saw no chance to develop. It would have been the wrong step, however, because the overall situation has changed. I am completely open on my future. Let’s see what happens. It is not the case that I will definitely go. I never said I would change clubs – let alone this summer – I just did not renew the contract, ”

Meyer has not been that productive statistically yet, last season he managed just 1 goal and 1 assist in the Bundesliga last season in 18 starts and 9 sub appearances – but he does show the raw ability that is attracting interest from top clubs.

3 Brilliant Attacking Signings Tottenham Could Make Before the Season Starts

As good as Tottenham’s season was last season, the club have struggled to make much of an impact in the off-season and Pochettino will surely want to strengthen his side ahead of the new season, particularly having lost Kyle Walker for £50million earlier in the window.

One area where Spurs have struggled for depth in recent seasons is in attacking areas. In this article we take a look at 3 players who, according to reports, Tottenham could sign before the season kicks off in just 10 days’ time…

1 – Ross Barkley

Let’s get the obvious one out of the way first. Ross is surely on his way out of the club this summer after Everton boss Ronald Koeman said his midfielder would ‘100% leave’ this summer. Barkley’s original price tag was set at an astronomical £50million, which put off Tottenham, but it is now thought that a more modest bid of around £30million would be enough to sign the England international. Another potential obstacle for this transfer, though, is Barkley’s reported wage demands. These excessive demands are said to be putting the deal in jeopardy.

Kovacic & 3 New Signings Start: How Tottenham Could Line-Up Next Season

Tottenham will be looking to improve on their 2nd place season next time around by making some changes to their team. Whilst other teams are spending hundreds of millions, Spurs will have to rely on good man-management and more under the radar additions if they are to seriously compete for the title next season.

In this article, we take a look at how the club could line up next season…

GK: Hugo Lloris

Hugo is such an important part of this team, the captain and at times the MVP. It is crucial that whilst Tottenham are trying to win the title and compete in Europe, they make a statement and keep players of Lloris’ calibre at the club. He, in my opinion can be classed as World Class.

3 Big Money Signings Tottenham Reportedly Want To Make This Summer

Tottenham are yet to make a significant addition to their team this summer, but the sale of Kyle Walker has left many fans wondering how and if the club will re-invest. If they do choose to, then attacking players will be important – Spurs have struggled at times in attacking areas, and often rely too much on Harry Kane and Christian Eriksen for goals and creativity. In this article, I take a look at 3 big money signings Tottenham are reportedly looking to make this summer.

1 – Riyad Mahrez

The London Evening Standard say that Tottenham are monitoring the situation of Mahrez, but will not get involved in the bidding unless the price drops significantly. Leicester are quoting teams £50million for the former Premier League Player of the Year, but the Algerian’s performances last season has seen his stock fall somewhat, and no club appears keen to meet that asking price. Leicester have already rejected a bid from Roma – it is thought that the offer was close to £20million.

Tottenham appear to have their purse strings tightened and I doubt there would be serious interest unless the asking price dropped to something closer to £30million.
