‘Sol Campbell Vol. 2’ Spurs Fans Lash Out At Danny Rose Following Brutally Honest Interview

Just three days before Spurs travel to Newcastle in their Premier League season opener, Danny Rose has had an exclusive interview with the Sun, and it has to be said, he has not held back.

Rose spoke to The Sun and commented on next season and where he will play his football in the future. Whilst insisting that Spurs cannot start to blame the pitch or atmosphere at Wembley next season if things don’t go to plan, Spurs fans would have been a little taken aback to read that Rose wants to play his football up north sometime in the future. It must be stressed he said he would like to do this at some point in his career, not immediately.

If you believe various media reports, he could be linking up with Jose Mourinho at any moment this summer. Although this was not explicitly said by Rose, the left-back could well be fishing for a move to Mourinho’s Red Devils after he also talked about the wage structure at Tottenham.

Rose hasn’t played for Spurs since the 0-0 draw with Sunderland back in January and says he had a lot of time to think things over and now insists he is underpaid. This may be true compared to the likes of Lingard at Manchester United who is paid £100,000-per-week when you learn that Rose is on £30,000-per-week. However, to go public on such an issue will not go down well with chairman Daniel Levy or manager Mauricio Pochettino. If one thing is for certain, it hasn’t gone down well with Spurs fans. Here is how they reacted on Twitter.

Later on in the interview, Rose urged Tottenham to sign some stars who he did not have to Google to find out who they were. We are pretty sure he had to Google Dele Alli before he came to Spurs and it has been pointed out that many fans had to Google Rose when he signed for Spurs.

Chelsea and Manchester United are reportedly interested in signing Rose and it will be very interesting to see if Rose stays beyond this summer at Spurs. He might be out of action until September with injury so we are sure that Ben Davies will start the season opener at Newcastle on Sunday.

Will Rose stay at Spurs after the summer transfer window slams shut?

Fancy Tottenham to stutter on the opening day and for the rest of the season with or without Rose? If so, get on these two offers from SportNation.bet! Moneyback on Arsenal if Spurs get beaten on Sunday and odds of 20/1 for Liverpool to lift the Premier League trophy.
