Player Ratings: Spurs 1-1 Burnley

Eric Dier- 6

His versatility continues to be a key asset to Mauricio Pochettino. After a solid first half in defensive midfield, we saw Dier drop into the back line to try and defend the lead at certain points.

Mousa Dembele- 5

Didn’t quite get the same control of the midfield that we have got used to him having over the past season or so. It wasn’t an awful performance from the Belgian, but he nowhere near contributed as much as he usually does.

Heung-min Son- 4

Looked slightly off the pace and struggled to get involved. Was rightly the first player to be hauled off and was a ghostly figure for most of the day. Hopefully he will return to his unstoppable best very soon.

Christian Eriksen- 4

Like Son, another player that struggled to make things happen, but admittedly saw more of the ball and attempted more passes. However, the passes he tried simply weren’t there and it was a disappointing display from one of our key playmakers.

Dele Alli- 6

Got himself his second goal of the season yesterday, but it was still a slightly underwhelming performance from the England international. The changing agents business is certainly peculiar and hopefully it will not affect how he plays for Spurs.

Harry Kane- 5

The August drought will continue for at least another year as Kane was left frustrated once again. He had a couple of decent chances, but he was a little short of good service.
