PSG have splashed the cash this summer in signing Neymar and Kylian Mbappe for ridiculous sums of money and are now looking to recoup some of that by offloading some players on deadline day, even if it does mean offering them out.

According to the Independent, Spurs have been offered both Angel Di Maria and Lucas Moura and the duo have been rejected by the North Londoners. Mauricio Pochettino does not believe Lucas has what it takes to succeed in the Premier League, but the Spurs boss is slightly more keen on signing fellow Argentine Di Maria, but his price tag proves to be a stumbling block.

With relations between the two clubs strong following the imminent transfer of Serge Aurier, PSG could be prepared to sell Di Maria for a cut price and with a little bit of deadline day Daniel Levy magic, he could be a Spurs player by 11pm today.

It appears Spurs need some attacking signings to arrive, and fast. The abject performance from the attackers against Burnley on Sunday suggests they are becoming complacent and need to be pushed. The signing of Di Maria might just do that.
