Tottenham have reportedly jumped to the front of the queue to sign Leicester City winger Gray, who wants more regular first team football. Will he get that at Tottenham? He could under Pochettino who has worked his magic with several young English players before.
Gray has found first team opportunities hard to come by under manager Craig Shakspeare and is absolutely desperate for more game time, even if this does mean forcing through a deadline day move elsewhere.
Leicester remain keen to keep hold of the Englishman and are ready to tie him down to a new contract. However, if Gray is not offered more first team football he could be heading out of the exit door of the King Power Stadium with Bournemouth and Spurs ready to snap the youngster up.
Bournemouth have reportedly already tabled a hefty bid of £30m for Gray’s services and it is believed that Spurs are ready to match this in what could become a bidding war for the winger. We will see how this one develops over the course of deadline day.
