The young right-back burst onto the scene following the sale of Kyle Walker and the injury of Kieran Trippier to play an absolute blinder on the opening day of the season against Newcastle.
Newcastle saw Walker-Peters as a weak link in the Spurs team and looked to exploit him at every opportunity, but with little success as the youngster became an integral part of a defensive shutout that helped Spurs to pick up all three points in a 2-0 win.
Walker-Peters was awarded Man of the Match for his performance at Newcastle and caught the eye of many. However, with Kieran Trippier appearing to be above him in the pecking order and the arrival of Serge Aurier imminent, first team opportunities might be few and far between.
It might be wise for 20-year-old to move away from the club for a year on loan to get some more playing experience under his belt. He will have caught the of many EFL managers against Newcastle who would happily take him on for a year to aid his development.
