3 Players Tottenham Could Sign In The Next Few Weeks

We are still waiting for Tottenham to spring into life in this summer transfer window. They remain the only Premier League side yet to make a signing thus far. With time ticking until the transfer window slams shut at the end of August, here are three players that Spurs could sign in the next few weeks.

Having sold Kyle Walker to Manchester City for £45m, Mauricio Pochettino will be keen to strengthen in the full-back area this summer, and could make Jeremy Toljan his first signing of this summer transfer window according to The Daily Star.

Following the sale of Walker, that just leaves Kieran Trippier and Kyle Walker-Peters as the only right-backs left at the club. My feeling is that Walker-Peters is not quite ready for first team football and with squad depth being very important to Pochettino, a move for Toljan would make sense.

Toljan appears to be a highly versatile player, playing in many different positions for Hoffeinheim including right midfielder on nine occasions in 21 appearances last season as well as playing in the full-back position. This wide midfield and full-back experience could prove invaluable if Pochettino wishes to play a three at the back formation with wing-backs next season.

The player’s agent has spoken of how flattering it is for him to read that clubs such as Tottenham are interested in his client, but insists that no contact has been made as yet. Could this be set to change in the near future?
