We saw Georges-Kevin N’Koudou move to White Hart Lane at the tail-end of the summer transfer window last year in a deal that was worth just south of £10m. The Frenchman has made a limited impact since his deadline day transfer.

Spurs fans were excited by the signing of the left-winger, and having not heard of the 22-year-old, Spurs fans flooded onto Youtube, and were greeted by clips of N’Koudou burning full-backs for pace left, right and centre in his time at Marseille.

However, N’Koudou has failed to hit the ground running since joining the Lilywhites. Reports have suggested that he is struggling with the language, which has hindered his development as a player since joining Spurs. The winger made 17 appearances for Tottenham last season, 8 of those coming in the Premier League. Despite making eight appearances in English football’s top flight, N’Koudou played a mere 47 minutes of football. In the few minutes of football that he has played, N’Koudou has shown flashes of his pace, but very little else.

With a strong pre-season behind him, N’Koudou could prove to be a very useful asset for Spurs next season. If he can hit top form, he can prove to be a real threat down that left-hand side.
