CM – Mousa Dembele
I feel Pochettino often erred on the side of caution last season and went with quite a defensive set up when at times it would’ve been better to see Tottenham do more in midfield in terms of going forward. Mousa Dembele is a great creative player that links the midfield to attack and in my opinion is the perfect partner for Seri should he arrive. With such talented attackers, Tottenham need a midfielder with the ability to link – and Dembele is just that. With 3 defenders behind them, I feel at least against bottom half teams, Pochettino does not necessarily need to play Wanyama in this system. Of course Wanyama is a top player and will play a lot of games, but I do feel that a more expressive midfield line up would be good for the team.
