3 – Ross Barkley
Barkley is very much a player that has failed to live up to his large potential so far. But in spells this season, he has shown what he is capable of. Pochettino has improved several young English players at Tottenham already and Barkley could be another player to flourish under the Argentinean tactician. According to The Mirror, Barkley is Tottenham’s number one transfer target, but he won’t come cheap. Everton are determined to keep hold of their best players as they look to close the gap on the top four. Selling to a top four rival will certainly not be something that Koeman wants to do – but money talks and Barkley would surely be tempted by Champions League football – as it looks very unlikely he will ever achieve that at Goodison.
