Spurs will be looking to cement their place in second spot this season when they welcome an in-form Everton side to White Hart Lane on Sunday afternoon.

In terms of team news, Danny Rose and Erik Lamela remain sidelined, whilst Harry Kane, Jan Vertonghen and Toby Alderweireld will face late fitness tests after Saturday’s training. Here is the Spurs predicted line-up to face Everton.

GK: Hugo Lloris

What a magnificent save Lloris pulled off last week at White Hart Lane against Stoke. It was a superb reaction save, and we hope for more of the same here against an in-form Romelu Lukaku.

RB: Kyle Walker

Another solid performance from Walker last week in the Premier League. I back him to continue his good form this weekend and to start against Everton.

CB: Toby Alderweireld

Alderweireld will face a late fitness test, and I hope he is fit to play. He and Vertonghen will have to deal with the attacking threat of Lukaku, and these two pairing up at the back increases the chances of a clean sheet.

CB: Jan Vertonghen

Vertonghen also faces a late fitness test after training on Saturday, and has on occasion man-marked the main striker. I think him and Alderweireld will rotate if they both start in terms of marking the Everton striker.

LB: Ben Davies

I’m not a huge fan of Ben Davies playing as a left wing-back. I much prefer to see him in a full-back role and have another winger higher up the pitch. His defensive qualities are excellent, but he hasn’t quite grasped making the right runs at wing-back for me.
