The Lilywhites were the stronger of the two from the start of the contest, Christian Eriksen testing Bettinelli in the Fulham goal early on with a left-footed toe-poke. Spurs continued to dominate, and it wasn’t long before they took the lead. Kieran Trippier’s quick thinking from a throw in gave Eriksen the ball down the right, he then whipped a ball into the box that Harry Kane was able to turn into the back of the net from close range.

Michel Vorm very nearly gifted Fulham an equaliser when his pass went astray, but was able to recover and make a save from Tom Cairney’s effort to keep Mauricio Pochettino’s side in front. That aside, Spurs were the dominant force in the first period, and should have extended their lead before the break.

The Spurs advantage was doubled just five minutes into the second half as Eriksen and Kane combined once again. The Dane whipped another ball into the box from the right, and Kane got on the end of it again to consolidate Tottenham’s lead.

The win was sealed seventeen minutes from time when Dele Alli slid a ball through to the onside Harry Kane, who finished strongly past Bettinelli to secure Spurs’ spot in the draw for the FA Cup sixth round, where a date with Millwall at White Hart Lane awaits.

Christian Eriksen was one of the Spurs players to impress in the FA Cup win at Fulham. He provided two assists for Harry Kane’s first two goals, as well as playing a clever pass to Alli in the build-up for the third. It was a much better display from Eriksen on Sunday, and here is how Spurs fans reacted to his showing in the 3-0 win.

Eriksen has been inconsistent at times this season, and has not been at his best recently, but looked somewhere back to his best here. His crosses into Kane for two of the goals were sublime, especially the second, similar to the pair that found Dele Alli in the win over Chelsea at the start of the year.

However, one area for concern will be the Dane’s form on set pieces. It has recently been pointed out that Eriksen has not scored a free-kick in over 500 days, and his set pieces were under-par again today. Despite this, it was a very satisfying performance to watch from Eriksen.
