After the disappointing Champions League campaign, Pochettino will now surely want to show the strength of his team in Europe by going far in this competition. Tottenham have every chance of winning the whole competition, let alone this fixture. But Pochettino will want to avoid any slip up.

I expect him to make some changes, but not an overwhelming amount, as the club still need to ensure they progress in the competition. Here’s the line up I would like to see.

Goalkeeper: Hugo Lloris

Lloris is a must between the sticks.

Defence: Trippier, Alderweireld, Wimmer, Davies

Trippier deserves a chance to play at right back, Davies has to start at left back. I’d like to see Wimmer come in alongside Alderweireld. I feel he deserves to be ahead of Dier in the pecking order at centre back. This would be a good chance for him to play and prove that.

Midfield: Moussa Dembele, Eric Dier; Moussa Sissoko, Cristian Eriksen, Son Heung-Min

I’d move Eric Dier back to midfield for this fixture after his horrible performance in defence against Liverpool. In the away fixture he can act as the defensive shield for the defence, and allow Dembele more creative freedom going forward. In the number 10 role I’d like to see Eriksen. It’s where I feel he can be most effective and I feel that Alli needs to be taken out of the firing line, he looks a little jaded. Sissoko and Son both need game time and both are capable of good performances on the wing. Sissoko in particular really needs to show his form and true colours.

Striker: Vincent Janssen

Spurs desperately need Janssen to hit form. Whilst I would like to see Kane on the bench, I think Janssen needs to start the game and hopefully grab a goal or two. He is a good player but he just needs goals to get going in Spurs colours.
