Dembele Dropped: Tottenham Team News And Predicted Line-Up To Face Middlesbrough

CM: Victor Wanyama

I feel that there is no need for two defensive midfielders in a game like this, where Middlesbrough are likely to take a very negative approach. That is why I think Dembele will be dropped for this one, for tactical reasons, not based on performances.

CAM: Dele Alli

Not quite the same impact against Sunderland as he has done in other matches this season. He struggled to get involved, and we hope to see a much more creative Dele Alli this time around.

CAM: Christian Eriksen

This will be a tough game against Middlesbrough, and it might take a little bit of magic from Eriksen to pick the lock and find a breakthrough on Saturday. I back him to start here.

ST: Harry Kane

Like Alli, struggled to get involved on Tuesday at the Stadium of Light. He was well marshalled and a little isolated at times. Having a strike partner here in Vincent Janssen might help to combat this happening again.

ST: Vincent Janssen

Was a little unfortunate to only be given five minutes in midweek, but I would like to see him start here. His hold up play will be important if we are to get over the line and get all three points against Middlesbrough.
