2 – Strongest back 5 in the league
Some Arsenal fans will claim their back 5 is better than ours, but I’m not having that at all. The Gunners were at full strength against Chelsea and their defence looked weak and vulnerable at all times. Tottenham, on the other hand, looked resilient against this Chelsea side. Lloris is a much better goalkeeper than Cech now, the Arsenal mans glory days are well behind him. Alderweireld is a better defender than Mustafi, who cost them three times as much. Koscielny is probably better than Vertonghen but it is the system and chemistry that Spurs play with that makes them so good. Both full backs are very strong, too. Pochettino also has the potential to play with 3 central defenders, and due to the clubs strength in depth in this area, Tottenham look just as strong when adapting to this formation.
