Janssen Starts: Tottenham Team News And Predicted Line-Up To Face Sunderland

Spurs will be looking to pounce on any potential slip-up made by league leaders Chelsea, who play Liverpool at Anfield, when they made the trip to Sunderland on Tuesday night.

Toby Alderweireld, Danny Rose and Harry Kane are all available again after recovering from short-term injuries, while Kieran Trippier, Georges-Kevin N’Koudou, Jan Vertonghen and Erik Lamela are all set to miss out on the trip to the Stadium of Light. Here is the Spurs predicted line-up.

GK: Hugo Lloris

The Frenchman was rested for Saturday’s cup tie against Wycombe, as he always is in the FA Cup, and should make a return here.

RB: Kyle Walker

Also rested in the dramatic cup win against Wycombe, and will cause constant problems down that right-hand side for the Sunderland defence, looking to replicate his part in the first goal at Manchester City.

CB: Toby Alderweireld

Mauricio Pochettino has said that Toby has recovered successfully from his tight injury picked up at the Etihad, and should play from the start here after his recovery.

CB: Kevin Wimmer

Pochettino has hinted at changes for this one, with the game against Middlesborough on Saturday in mind, and I think Eric Dier will be rested for this one after playing at the weekend. For that reason, I can see Wimmer starting here.

LB: Danny Rose

I can see a return to the starting line-up for Danny Rose at the Stadium of Light. After recovering from a knee problem, there is nothing sanding in his way from playing here.
