3) Callum Wilson
Newcastle have been linked with a move for Callum Wilson in the New Year, but nothing has yet materialised, and it would be a good move in my opinion if Spurs were to rival the Magpies for Wilson this month.
The striker has managed a solid six goals this season from seventeen appearances, and you feel that Wilson would improve on that tally with quality playmakers such as Dele Alli and Christian Eriksen. The Englishman has performed well in a decent Bournemouth side, but you feel that his goalscoring record would improve significantly if he were to join Spurs.
As I said with Shane Long, Spurs have three competitions that they will have to juggle in the next couple of months, and backup for Harry Kane will be needed. After the Aston Villa win, question marks will be raised as to whether Vincent Janssen can provide sufficient backup for Harry Kane. If this move were to happen, it would be a good piece of business for Spurs, signing somebody who has proved that they can score goals in English football.
