Reshuffle? 3 Players That Could Leave Tottenham In The January Transfer Window

Spurs have made a rather average start to the Premier League season, and sit four points off the top four after thirteen games. Mauricio Pochettino will be looking at making additions over the January window, but here are three players that could leave White Hart Lane in the New Year.

The Austrian defender has put in some below-par performances so far this season, and Pochettino could be tempted to cash in, but might not be so keen on selling to Premier League rivals.

Wimmer played has played against Gillingham and Liverpool in the EFL Cup, and whilst not being tested in the game against Gillingham, the centre-back was far from his best at Anfield. He has also played a couple of times in the Premier League, his only noticeable contribution being an own goal against Arsenal.

The injury of Toby Alderweireld might have presented an opportunity for Wimmer, but Eric Dier has been preferred at the heart of the defence, and the 24-year-old might look at a move away in order to play more first team football.

Reports have emerged from The Sun that Southampton might look to rebuild their defence around Kevin Wimmer, with key defensive men Jose Fonte and Virgil Van Dijk both linked with moves away from St. Mary’s. We all know how good Daniel Levy is at getting clubs to overpay for Spurs players, could he do the same here.
