Player Ratings: Manchester United 1-0 Spurs – Midfield Fails To Deliver At Old Trafford

Heung-min Son- 5

Hauled off after 60 minutes, simply because he wasn’t making much of an impact. Again, he provided a great deal of Spurs’ width throughout the game, but he kept getting shrugged of the ball or didn’t make the right decision.

Dele Alli -4

Far from his anywhere near his best today. It is games like these that you want your best players to perform, step up and make something happen. He didn’t do that today, and must improve.

Christian Eriksen- 5

He proved to be very dangerous from set pieces, forcing a couple of good saves from David De Gea, and whipped a few good crosses into the box. However, he must be more than a dead ball specialist. He has got to make things happen from open play to prove his worth in the Spurs side.

Harry Kane- 4

Was left so isolated up top. He was man-marked by Marcos Rojo, who had his best game of the season up against Kane. Not really Kane’s fault that he was so ineffective, he needed much more service to test the United defence.

Subs

Moussa Sissoko- 6

He has clearly listened to what Pochettino had to say, and he has taken it on board. A much better display from him today, he caused Darmian all sorts of problems. He might be in with a chance of starting on Wednesday against Hull.

Harry Winks- 5

Didn’t make too much of an impact, but it was another solid showing from young Winks

Georges-Kevin N’Koudou- N/A
