Mauricio Pochettino’s men were in control from the very start of the game, and found the breakthrough just eleven minutes into the game. Danny Rose made an excellent run from his wing-back position and played the ball square to Eriksen, who was there to finish into the roof of the net. In the build-up to that goal, Spurs played a total of 30 passes, in what was an excellent team goal.

One of the wing-backs was again involved for the second goal. Kyle Walker was played in behind by Eric Dier, and Walker used his strength to retain the ball before firing a low ball across goal for Eriksen to tap in. Spurs added a third when Eriksen’s free-kick was looked goal-bound, but his shot was saved, but Wanyama was there to smash the ball home on the follow up.

One player that stood out for Spurs was right wing-back Kyle Walker. The Englishman continued to bomb down the right wing as night long, and provided the assist for the second goal. He has now has three assists for the season, which is more than Mesut Ozil. Walker created five chances in the 3-0 win, which was more than anybody else on the pitch. Here is how Spurs fans reacted to sublime performances from Kyle Walker as well as Danny Rose.

Mauricio Pochettino fielded a team that played in a 3-4-2-1 system, and you have to say, against a team like Hull, you can afford for your wing-backs to push up, but whether this system will be used in the next few weeks remains to be seen. However, Danny Rose and Kyle Walker both provided great assists in their wing-back roles and were extremely instrumental in the 3-0 win.
