Alli Dropped, No Son: Tottenham Team News And Predicted Line-Up To Face Burnley

Spurs will be looking to make it two wins on the bounce as they welcome Sean Dyche’s Burnley to White Hart Lane on Sunday after beating Hull 3-0 on Wednesday night.

Mauricio Pochettino’s men will be looking to capitalise on any mistakes from any of the top four at the weekend, with Arsenal and Manchester City playing each other and Liverpool facing a tough trip to Everton on Monday night.

Mousa Dembele will be assessed on Saturday to determine his fitness ahead of the Burnely clash, and the same goes for Vincent Janssen. Erik Lamela is still out, but Pochettino says that he is improving every day. Here is the Spurs predicted line-up to face Burnley.

GK: Hugo Lloris

Lloris has been in excellent form recently, and managed a clean sheet against what in all honesty was a pretty weak Hull City attack. He should start again here.

CB: Eric Dier

I think Pochettino will go with the three at the back formation again due to its success on Wednesday night. He filled in well on Wednesday, but did have to be reminded of his position by Toby Alderweireld sometimes.

CB: Toby Alderweireld

Spurs have conceded just the one goal since Toby has been back. He brings that solidity to the Spurs back line, and should keep his place in the line-up here.

CB: Jan Vertonghen

Much the same as Alderweireld, Jan looked very solid on Wednesday against Hull, and we hope for much more of the same against Burnley on Sunday afternoon.

RWB: Kyle Walker

Walker is in the form of his life, and provided another assist in midweek, making five chances in the process, more than anybody on the pitch. He relishes the role higher up the pitch and could play there once again here.

LWB: Danny Rose

Rose also bagged an assist on Wedneday, and was a constant threat going down the Spurs left. He makes some strong runs on and off the ball, causing all kinds of trouble for defences. He should also start as a wing-back here on the opposite side to Walker.
