Three Changes! Tottenham Team News And Predicted 4-1-4-1 Line-Up To Face Arsenal

Spurs go into the North London derby playing some awful stuff. They need to go to the Emirates and get a result on Sunday to boost confidence and to ensure they do not lose ground on the league leaders in a tough month of fixtures.

In terms of team news, Toby Alderweireld is still out with that knee injury he picked up at West Brom. Ben Davies is also injured and Moussa Sissoko is banned. The big news is that Harry Kane returns from injury, however, it is highly unlikely he will play from the start. Mousa Dembele and Erik Lamela are both doubts, but could feature. He is the Spurs predicted line-up to face Arsenal.

GK: Hugo Lloris

The Frenchman has been in decent form of late, not much he could do about the Leverkusen goal from close range. He will have to make some big saves if Spurs are to take anything at all away from this game.

RB: Kyle Walker

His performance at Wembley was terrible. He made a strong run at 0-0, but that resulted in a feeble shot that trundled past the post. He gave the ball away needlessly a few times and should have dealt with the shot for the goal. He will be included due to his strength and pace to cause problems down the right, but he has to improve defensively.

CB: Eric Dier

Dier’s regular position is not centre-back, but he has played there previously, so this is not excuse. He needs to improve ahead of Sunday with Toby Alderweireld ruled out, but I think he will retain his place in the side

CB: Jan Vertonghen

The defence needs to be tight if Spurs are to take anything away from the Emirates. He wasn’t as bad as others on Wednesday night at Wembley, but Vertonghen needs to put in a big performance on Sunday for a result to come Spurs’ way.

LB: Danny Rose

The England international was left out of the side on Wednesday, but will definitely start here with Ben Davies out. He will look to use his pace to bomb up and down the left and cause problems, whipping some dangerous balls into the box.

CDM: Victor Wanyama

With Spurs lacking the presence of Dembele, Pochettino may deploy just one defensive midfielder at the Emirates. Wanyama has proved he can cope in this position on his own, but against dangerous opposition like Arsenal, he will need some help from the attacking midfielders.
