Player Ratings: Spurs 3-2 West Ham- Kane Snatches Win, Winks Impresses On Full Debut

Victor Wanyama- 6

Good performance from the summer signing. Worked tirelessly alongside Dembele providing that strong defensive midfield shield in front of the back line.

Harry Winks- 9

What a full debut for the youngster! Even when the rest of the Spurs side were uninspiring, Winks always looked to have a positive impact on the game, and more often than not, he did. Was the first to the ball for the goal, the very least he deserved for an excellent performance.

Christian Eriksen- 6

Didn’t quite fall for Eriksen on the day. He came close on a couple of occasions to providing the killer pass or converting a free kick, but didn’t quite have the impact he would have wanted.

Harry Kane- 9

The impact he has on the squad has been clear to see since his return from injury. When he is on the pitch, you get the feeling that he will make something happen. He made something happen here, that’s for sure. He was in the right place at the right time for the equaliser, and stayed calm to snatch all three points. Three goals in his last two. That’s the return Kane would have wanted.

Vincent Janssen- 5

We are still waiting for the Dutchman’s first goal from open play. Despite not finding the net, Janssen worked very hard in the second half, but he needs to learn he can’t pull player back in the box from corners. It cost him this time, and I hope it doesn’t knock his confidence too much.

Subs:

Dele Alli -6

Came on for Janssen just after West Ham took the lead for the second time. Lost the ball a few too many times for me, but he will be a key player on Tuesday night in Monaco.

Heung-min Son- 8

Came on just after Alli, and influenced the game greatly. He did well down the left for both of the goals, teeing up Kane and winning the penalty. A great impact sub from Pochettino.

Kieran Trippier- N/A
