Player Ratings: Arsenal 1-1 Spurs – Midfield Impress And Defence Stays Strong In Draw

Spurs recovered from a shocking performance in midweek to put in a strong performance at the Emirates, drawing 1-1 with bitter rivals Arsenal. A Kevin Wimmer howler put Arsenal ahead, but a Harry Kane penalty earned Spurs a share of the spoils in the second half.

Mauricio Pochettino played a three at the back system, and it worked incredibly well. Here are the Spurs player ratings.

Hugo Lloris- 7

Made a couple of solid saves during the game to keep us in it. Nothing he could do however about the Wimmer own goal.

Kyle Walker- 7

A much improved performance from today from Wednesday, playing as a wing-back. He defended a lot better than he did in midweek and looked a decent threat going forward, getting a couple of crosses into the box.

Kevin Wimmer- 6

Little unfortunate to score the own-goal. He was put in an awkward position by a terrific Mesut Ozil cross, otherwise, he was solid throughout.

Eric Dier- 7

Looked a little bit shaky and made a couple of tiny errors during the game, but he did a good job playing in the new system. He has provided decent enough cover since Toby Alderweireld has been out.

Jan Vertonghen- 7

The only first choice centre-back playing today, and he played well. Made a couple of good tackles, looking comfortable on the ball in the process, dealing with the Arsenal attack well.

Danny Rose- 7

Like Walker, Rose played as a wing-back and looked to bomb up and down the left-hand side. He looked a real threat, receiving the ball many times, looking to get dangerous balls into the box, and he did this well. A good performance from Rose.
