Walker Returns! Tottenham Team News And Predicted Line-Up To Face Manchester City

CDM: Victor Wanyama

He made a few good tackles, but I wasn’t too impressed with Wanyama’s performance in Moscow on Tuesday night. I felt that his distribution wasn’t very good at all and he gave the ball away too many times. That will have to improve if he starts on Sunday.

CDM: Dele Alli

With Eric Dier, Mousa Dembele and Moussa Sissoko all facing late fitness tests, Dele Alli could well see himself start in the deeper role again. He can make tackles in the midfield and almost turn the formation into a 4-1-4-1 when we are attacking, but he might need a little more discipline against a dangerous City side.

RAM: Erik Lamela

Had a good game against Moscow and slotted a lovely ball through to Son for the goal, and I think that he will retain his place in the starting line-up here.

CAM: Christian Eriksen

I thought he disappeared a little at times against Moscow on Tuesday night a little too much for my liking, but he looked good in spells and should start again here.

LAM: Heung-min Son

Another goal for Son, and his first for Spurs in the Champions League. His goal proved decisive on Tuesday to win us a crucial three points, and in the form he is in, Pochettino would be stupid to drop him.

ST: Vincent Janssen

Not his night in midweek as he searches for his first goal from open play. With Harry Kane out, I expect Janssen to lead the line once again on Sunday.
