Three Of Tottenham’s Best Players So Far This Season

Not only has Kyle Walker done his defensive work excellently this season, but he provided a huge threat going down the right-hand side for Spurs this season, supporting the right-winger in causing trouble for the opposition left-back as well as pinning back left-wingers to deal with his attacking threat.

A huge part of Pochettino’s game plans include both full-backs bombing up and down their respective wings, as well as keeping wingers quiet, and Walker has done exactly that this season, and is up there with the most improved players for Spurs from last season to this season.

Walker has been extremely effective going forward both as an option on the overlap as well as an option to play the ball back to cross into the box, providing the assist for Erik Lamela’s headed equaliser on the first day against Everton. Walker has caused problems down the right for every team we have come up against, and I expect him to carry on his spectacular form after the international break.
