Three Of Tottenham’s Best Players So Far This Season

Sunday’s spectacular 2-0 win over Manchester City has seen Spurs move into second place, just a single point behind the league leaders City, and remain the only unbeaten team in the Premier League this season.

Up until the win over City, Spurs arguably haven’t been playing at their best, and have won ugly a couple of times this term, so there is plenty more to come after the international break. Here are Spurs’ best performers so far this season.

1) Son Heung-min

Son truly is on fire! Believe it or not, the South Korean was on the brink of moving back to Germany over the summer transfer window, and there were bids rejected by Daniel Levy for Son. Pochettino persuaded him to stay and fight for his place, and what an impact he has had since returning from the Olympics.

He surprised many when he started at Stoke, and surprised many more when he scored twice in a 4-0 rout. He followed this up with a Man of the Match display against Sunderland and two more goals against Middlesbrough. He also opened his Champions League account with the winner at CSKA Moscow.

Whether it has been playing on the left-hand side or leading the line as he did so well on Sunday in the 2-0 win over Manchester City, Son has been instrumental and is in the form of his life. Long may it continue!
