It has been a great start to the season for Tottenham. They are just one point from top spot after seven games this season, and there is a massive feel-good factor hanging around Spurs at the moment. However, here are three players that I feel still have a lot more to offer for the Lilywhites this season.
1) Mousa Dembele
We have missed the big Belgian through either injury or suspension for a large part of the season, and that has limited him to two appearances this season for Spurs, one of those being starts. He hobbled off against Sunderland just after returning from suspension, and hopefully will be back after the international break.
However, he may not just walk back into the team with Victor Wanyama putting in a quality performance against league leaders Manchester City, but it is Dembele’s strength on the ball as well as off it to win possession that is so important. His ability to turn defence into attack is insane, and is something Spurs maybe have missed this season.
Not only does Dembele strengthen the midfield immensely when he plays, but he also seems to improve the goalscoring form of Harry Kane, something that Spurs have also missed this term.
