Tottenham’s 3 Best Performers In Stoke City Thrashing

Tottenham moved into the top 4 and maintained their unbeaten to the season with a scintillating 4-0 win away to Stoke, a trip that usually causes problems for teams, no matter how talented. Pochettino had been experimenting with his line up so far this season and although perhaps aided by some poor Stoke City defending, Spurs finally clicked into top gear on Saturday. Here are our top 3 performers from the game.

1 – Son Heung-min

Who else? Son, who was almost sold by Tottenham this summer, was given a chance ahead of Erik Lamela, who had started the season impressively. Son took his performance to the next level though, showing what a goal threat he is by scoring a brace and he also notched up an assist. The 24-year-old has bags of potential and hopefully with the added amount of games, the South Korean will get the minutes he needs to grow and realise his potential. He made 3 key passes, and although he was dispossessed 4 times, Son was successful with 81.6% of his passes. It would be great to see more performances like this from Son, as when we signed him we all knew about his potential, but he has so far, only shown flashes of his best. His performance against Stoke was surely his best performance in a Tottenham shirt to date. Hopefully there is more to come from him.
