Off the back of two straight home wins in all competitions, Spurs make the trip to Middlesbrough with good confidence, but will be without Harry Kane for the trip up north.

Pochettino also revealed that he will make last minute calls on the fitness of Eric Dier, Mousa Dembele and Danny Rose. Here is the Spurs predicted line-up to face Middlesbrough.

GK: Hugo Lloris

Michel Vorm was given a run-out in the midweek cup win against Gillingham, but our French stopper should return to start between the sticks here.

RB: Kyle Walker

Walker has been a huge threat to other sides and has played outstandingly this season, and having signed a more than deserved new contract on Friday, I expect him to start at Middlesbrough.

CB: Toby Alderweireld

The Belgian has been arguably our most consistent player this season, and showed his threat from corners yet again last week against Sunderland, and after being rested on Wednesday, he should reclaim his starting spot here.

CB: Jan Vertonghen

Covered the left-back position well in the absense of Danny Rose and Ben Davies from the starting eleven, but I expect him to return to his usual centre-back position on Saturday.

LB: Ben Davies

With Pochettino making a last-minute desicion on the match-fitness of Danny Rose, Ben Davies could well start again here, with the Champions League match away at CSKA Moscow in the back of the manager’s mind.

CDM: Victor Wanyama

As I have mentioned before, a late decision on whether Danny Rose will play or not will be made, and the same goes for Eric Dier and Mousa Dembele. So it might be best not to risk the two in midfield and start Wanyama, who has looked solid in the last couple of games.

CDM: Moussa Sissoko

The Frenchman looked off the pace against Sunderland last week, putting in an under-par performance. We obviously must allow our £30m man time to settle in, so we must not be too harsh. Due to the potential absence of Dier and Dembele, Sissoko could well drop back into defensive midfield for the trip to Middlesbrough.
