3) Central-Attacking Midfielder (CAM)

This more central role would certainly give our new recruit more freedom in a more attacking role, giving him the opportunity to run at the centre-backs before either going it alone, picking out a defence splitting pass or laying it off to the wide men.

He would certainly be more of a physical presence in that number ten role sometimes occupied by Christian Eriksen, although we have seen the Dane play on the left-hand side on more than one occasion. The Frenchman would still in my opinion also provide more of a physical presence than Dele Alli playing behind the striker.

New £30m signing Moussa Sissoko could be deployed in any of the three positions highlighted in this post. In my opinion, he is more likely to play on the right-hand side than anywhere else, but as the games come thick and fast and as the seasons goes on and injuries start to play a part in team selection, we could see the Frenchman deployed in a few different positions.
