3 Positions Where Mauricio Pochettino Could Utilise New £30million Signing

With just a couple of minutes left in the transfer window remaining, Tottennham managed to get the £30m transfer deal over the line that would see Frenchman Moussa Sissoko make a deadline day move from Championship outfit Newcastle to Spurs in a record-breaking move.

In just a week-and-a-half after putting pen to paper, the midfield powerhouse could well make his Premier League debut away at Stoke City this weekend, and here are three positions that he might find himself playing in on Saturday afternoon, and indeed, for the rest of the season.

This is a position that Sissoko will be familiar with and has played in before, and he will look to challenge Erik Lamela for a starting spot playing on the right-hand side.

The power of the 27-year-old will provide exactly what Pochettino is looking for in the attacking positions, offering something a little different to what he already has at his disposal with the likes of Christian Eriksen and Erik Lamela.

“We need a player who is more direct, more aggressive offensively,” the Argentine said before the close of the transfer window, and I believe that Sissoko can provide exactly that, attacking the opposition left-back with both pace and power.
