3 Players That Must Stay Fit For Tottenham To Be Competitive This Season

It is evident that we have missed Harry Kane’s goals in the first three Premier League games of the new season, and the August goal drought for the England international will haunt him for another year at least. Although out of form at the moment, I have full confidence that Kane will rediscover the form he showed in the second part of last season.

There are currently two strikers at the club, so Pochettino would have backup for Kane should he sustain an injury, but a long-term injury would be a nightmare. Vincent Janssen arrived at the club over the summer for a fee of around £18m, and the Dutchman is still adapting to life in England football.

If Kane were to pick up an injury, then the goalscoring onus would be shifted solely onto Janssen to score goals in both the Premier League and the Champions League, and who knows how the youngster would react to that sort of pressure.
