2 – Erik Lamela
Another player to consistently appear in this article is Erik Lamela, and he’s here again this week. The Argentine is becoming so important for a Tottenham side that really lack creativity at times. For me, Lamela has been much more consistently effective that Cristian Eriksen has so far this season. In the game against Liverpool he made 3 key passes, including one vital assist. He completed 2 dribbles and 2 long balls, this highlights the variety Erik has to his game now, many had previously considered him to be a very one-dimensional player. Although this wasn’t Lamela’s best performance of the season by any means, he was still one of the best Tottenham players on the afternoon. His 73.6% pass accuracy on the day will be slightly concerning to Spurs fans and Pochettino. I think when Moussa Dembele is back in the line up, he and Lamela will be the players to link midfield and attack.
