Tottenham have agreed a fee with Brighton for midfielder Alex Pritchard. According to Sky Sports the package for Pritchard tots up to around £8million. If these figures are accurate it is just another example of how Daniel Levy has done very well when selling his players. As usual, Levy has managed to get more than most would have expected for Pritchard, a player who at 23 has only played for Tottenham’s first team on two occasions. It’s a nice cash sum for someone that was clearly not in Pochettino’s plans for the coming season. Pritchard is a young winger whose most recent loan spell at West Bromwich Albion was unsuccessful. Prior to that though, Pritchard player very well during loan spells at Brentford and Swindon. A few years ago there were high hopes for Pritchard at Tottenham but it’s pretty clear that he doesn’t have a long-term future at the club following the imminent arrival of N’Koudou. Chris Hughton, Brighton’s manager knows Pritchard well from his time at Tottenham as a coach.
