Well I think we all know this one is going to happen. A deal for N’Koudou is all but complete and everyone is just waiting on the official announcement.

As we said, the fee is around £10.8million and Sky Sources say a medical has already been completed. N’Koudou will become Tottenham’s third first team signing of the summer, following the arrivals of Victor Wanyama and Vincent Janssen.

N’Koudou, despite playing in Ligue 1 – a somewhat poor environment, impressed last season. Despite his age, he was a regular in Marseille line-up, mainly playing on the left wing. In 22 starts and 6 sub appearances N’Koudou netted 5 league goals and notched up a respectable 3 assists. It is worth noting that he was playing in a Marseille side that seriously underperformed last season. His dribbling is noted as a real strength and that will help as Tottenham search for more attacking diversity.

Overall it is hard to tell whether or not N’Koudou will be much on an improvement on N’Jie, whom he is set to replace, but with the former Lyon man struggling to settle, a spell back in France may be the best route forward for the versatile attacker.
