The signing of Victor Wanyama may trigger some movement in the defensive midfield department, and Ryan Mason could well have to continue his footballing career elsewhere if this is the case.
The Englishman has been linked with a move away, and reports have suggested that Premier League new boys Hull City have expressed an interest in the midfielder.
Mason used to be a key part of the Spurs team under Tim Sherwood and early on in the Mauricio Pochettino reign, but has seen his first-team spot been taken by Eric Dier, and has struggled for starts since Dier burst onto the midfield scene.
With Mauricio Pochettino potentially looking for any adjustments he may need to make to his squad, Mason could well see himself secure a move away after being seen as surplus-to-requirements by Argentine Pochettino. However, you could argue the same case for one of Nabil Bentaleb or Tom Carroll.
