Now the right-back has returned at Spurs, he will see that first-team opportunities are likely to be few and far between with Kieran Trippier and Kyle Walker both fighting for their place in the starting eleven.
The 23-year-old has admitted that he has heard nothing from Sunderland themselves regarding a return to the North -East, but he has labelled the reports linking him with a return to the Stadium Of Light ‘awesome’. A sign that the American wants out and could be the latest man to walk through the exit door at Spurs?
