The Daily Mail are one of many outlets to link Tottenham with a move for Bolasie who has a £28million price tag, but it is likely he will be allowed to leave following the arrival of Andros Townsend at Selhurst Park. Palace may be being a tad ambitious with that valuation, considering the player is 27 and is still yet to reach the heights many hoped he would. He’s certainly a good player but at £27million, it’s unlikely Spurs will invest, especially with Gotze available at nearly half the price, and 3 years younger. Bolasie averaged a WhoScored rating of 7.14 last season – which is towards the top when comparing him to other Premier League midfielders. He only managed to contribute 5 goals and 3 assists in 26 games, although if he played for a team like Tottenham, with better players around him, you would expect him to improve on those statistics. Interestingly the stats from WhoScored go further and show that he potentially performs a fair bit better when playing on the right.
