The reported reason that Spurs face competition for £15m-rated Vincent Janssen, is that Wolfsburg are looking for a replacement for want-away Max Kruse, and German Eurosport are linking Spurs with a move for the German.
The German striker is reportedly looking for a move away from the German outfit after enduring a poor run of form since his arrival at Wolfsburg this time last year, scoring a dismal six times in the Bundesliga over the course of last season.
Signing the 28-year-old would seem a bit of a risk for Mauricio Pochettino, with the German having to rediscover his goalscoring form if he is going to provide the backup for first-choice striker Harry Kane that Spurs and Pochettino are crying out for.
