Spurs set to make official bid for Berahino (Mirror)
Tottenham look set to make an official bid for West Brom striker Berahino, with Pochettino aiming to unite Harry Kane with his under 21 strike partner up front. The two are considered amongst the best young strikers in England and it could leave Spurs set up with a strikforce to last for the next ten years. Berahino won’t come cheap though, West Brom don’t need to sell and they block Tottenham’s move for the striker in January. Pochettino wants at least one striker this summer though and at this moment, Berhaino looks the most likely option. The source is The Mirror’s John Cross, who is normally pretty well informed when it comes to Tottenham transfers.
Aubameyang a target for Tottenham (France Football)
After being linked to Arsenal for a few weeks, French media is now listing Tottenham as a potential suitor for Borussia Dortmund’s quick forward. I cannot see this one happening as Dortmund do not need to sell and it would surely take a bid in excess of £35million for Dortmund to even consider, and do Spurs have that kind of money to spend? Pocchetino seems desperate to sign a forward, but this target seems a little too ambitious.
Chiriches on his way to Fiorentina (CalcioMercato)
The Romanian centre back looks set to join Fiorentina as a replacement for Stefan Savic who has just joined Atletico Madrid. Chiriches has failed to break into the Tottenham starting line up on a regular basis; despite showing at times he can be a quality defender. Recouping £7million isn’t bad though, as Chiriches’ opportunities were set to be limited further because of Toby Aldeweireld’s arrival.
