THREE Players Key To Tottenham If They Are To Beat Hull

We will be wearing our newly released 2015/16 home kit against Hull City tomorrow at White Hart Lane, but there are more important things to worry about in our penultimate Premier League match than new kits.

Steve Bruce’s side can be condemned to relegation to the Championship if they fail to win at White Hart Lane, and surivival looks unlikely if they fail to win, as they must host Manchester United on the final day of the season.

A couple of Spurs players will make their return tomorrow as Michael Dawson and Tom Huddlestone are likely to start, but Jake Livermore will not play for the Tigers after being suspended after reportedly being tested positive for cocaine.

Here are our key players for tomorrow’s clash.

1) Christian Eriksen:

We have missed Eriksen’s creative spark over the least few weeks in the losses to Manchester City and Stoke, and we start to ask ourselves, where has the real Christian gone?

He has won us a lot of points this season, and his assists have proved crucial to our season as well as his late goals. He will be key to unlocking the Hull City defence tomorrow if we are to beat Hull.

2) Nabil Bentaleb

In my opinion, Nabil Bentaleb hasn’t hit top form in his last few games, and last week we saw a few stay passes from the Algeria international, in a rather uncharacteristic performance from the defensive midfielder.

We will need Bentaleb to again form a good partnership in the middle of the park with Ryan Mason and form that all important protection in front of the back four, and his huge range of passing will help immensely to keep moves flowing.

3) Jan Vertonghen

We have seen the defence make way to many errors leading to goals. It is as simple as that to be brutally honest. All three goals at Stoke last week could have been easily avoided just to mention one game where defensive errors have cost us.

It is up to Jan Vertonghen and his partner at the heart of the defence to prevent these mistakes, and although we say it time and time again, he needs to provide some stability to the defence and take charge at the back.
